Our Soul (Part Twenty)

Yes, we have a soul! Our soul has a basic memory and personality. I do believe in reincarnation; otherwise, how would I know about going through life again. Right after birth, I remember being carried to my mother’s hospital bed. She was so weak and tired, and I remembered noticing her appearance and knew immediately we would experience a problem in bonding. Now, why would I sense this? I just knew! Most of my experience in life is just knowing with no clear explanation. Mother lived in the Victorian Era where a wife stays home to tend the house and raise the children. The men were always served first before the man. I was raised with three brothers, who were always served before me. I guess I grew up resentful, because I didn’t feel I should be the only one doing household chores, when my three brothers were just as capable as myself. However, Mother began to change as I grew older and realized the men in the family should help with household chores. Maybe, it was because Dad sometimes cooked for us when Mother began going through menopause and he would wash the dishes and clean the kitchen. I grew closer to Mom when I had my own children. I began to understand she did the best she could in raising us. Mother loved me unconditionally, because in my youth I was self-contained. In other words, I only saw things the way I wanted to see them when it came to Mother and daughter bonding. I should have accepted Mother as an unique individual; instead, of judging her. Of course, if I could go back in time and start over again as Mother’s daughter, I would certainly do things differently. But, of course, all of us live with some kind of regret and can’t cry over it, since we have to move on. Time doesn’t wait, since it pushes us along saying, “none of that!” As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, I knew I was going through life again and so I sucked it up, so to speak. I knew there was a reason for it. Maybe, my other life was cut short or perhaps we just simply go through a number of times being reincarnated, until we evolve and are ready to move to the next step in our true development. Now, I mentioned about Mother crossing over, but that’s not the end. Mother had described her own mother coming to her in a dream and saying, “Death is just another form of existence.” My own mother has visited me in my dreams, as well as tucking me in at night. I mentioned in a previous article about her coming for a visit when I was taking a bath sometimes to check the cleanliness of the toilet bowl. Sometimes, I feel her presence when I forget to wash my hands and a gentle nudge to go back and do so.rnMother had this thing about germs. She would always carry her own homemade sanitizer in her purse and that was before hand sanitizer was being marketed! REMINDER! Our deceased loved ones should never be forgotten and having wonderful memories about them is a true blessing for they will always live in our heart. After all, there is only a thin wall between us.
