Outdoor movement; as we settle into the official summertime haze and begin to enjoy the slowed down mode of relaxing by the beach, pool or lake and delving into a good bubble gum book, it’s time to taking advantage of the sunshine and warmer temperatures by strapping on our outdoor sneakers and take advantage of the enjoyable weather.

There are many pluses to moving your routine to the outside arena which also allows you to capture the benefits of what the clean, fresh space has to offer. One of the best things about being surrounded by Mother Earth is that she charges you nothing to take your show on the road and brings you endless opportunities to enjoy Mother Nature while exercising your shrine. Whichever outside activity floats your boat there are many gains to gather when entering into the natural ring.

When you exercise outside your scenery is constantly changing.
When you exercise outside your enthusiasm for your workout increases.
When you exercise outside your mood is enhanced by the sunshine.
When you exercise outside it gives you an opportunity to enjoy the serenity.
When you exercise outside you are surrounded by fresh air.
When you exercise outside you can invite friends to enjoy the ride.

While stepping out your front door into your physical ring enhances many areas of your mind, body and soul, it also presents some challenges and things to be aware of to make your stint in the fresh world safe and comfortable.

When you exercise outside notify someone of your route and estimated time of return.
When you exercise outside be sure to bring along your water.
When you exercise outside always wear sunscreen.
When you exercise outside wear a visor or hat to protect your beautiful face.
