Outstanding Sales Pages Start With a Compelling Headline

Your sales page is one of the most important elements of your business. This is the page that entices your customer to buy your product. The success of your Internet business is largely dependent upon the success of your sales page.

An outstanding sales page must contain a compelling headline. A poorly designed headline will cause potential buyers to click away from your sales page in a matter of seconds. Your headline should attract the visitor’s eye and provide them with a reason to buy your product. It should emphasize how your product will benefit the buyer.

For the most part, people tend to buy products that will:

1. Make them money. This is particularly true if their business is struggling financially and has not yet produced any profits. This person is a very good sales candidate if you can convince them that your product can deliver profits!

2. Solve a problem. Serious problems, or problems that people believe are serious, can keep them awake at night worrying. In most cases, only those who are suffering from this nagging problem will visit your sales page. If you can convince them that your product can effectively solve their problem, there is a very good likelihood that this person will buy from you.

3. Provide information. People are always looking for information. If the information you provide is new, interesting, or compelling in some way, it may have a good potential. The object of your sales page for this type of product is to convince the buyer that they need your product.

4. Save them time. People are very busy in society today and are more than willing to spend their money on products that will save them time.

Determine which of these categories your product falls into. Write down the five or ten ways in which your product will benefit a buyer. Do not list your product’s features; list how your customer benefits by owning your product! Prioritize your list starting with the most important benefit to your customer and ending with the least important.

Stress one or two of the top benefits of your product in a bold headline. For example: Easily Cure Snoring Forever and sleep like a Baby!

A successful sales page is dependent upon a number of factors. Developing a compelling headline is one of the most important features for success. Use the methods described above and start making money!
