Summary: Overcoming fear of failure is crucial for you to experience the kind of success you’re destined to accomplish with your life. You owe it to yourself to explore every avenue to conquer it. I look forward to sharing with you additional keys on how to overcome fear. Fear of Failure is a major reason why many people are not able to pursue their life dreams and God-given destiny. The key word is FEAR! Fear will hinder your trying anything new or different. Fear paralyzes you and leaves you helpless, inactive and powerless to pursue what is needed to succeed. Fear of people steals your potential and stifles you so you will never soar to your full potential. Over the past several weeks, God has given me several articles that I believe will help you overcome your fears. In this article I will share four keys. rnKey 1 – Aim For Huge Goals – Mark 9:23rnSetting small goals that require less effort may be easy but it will never be as satisfying as setting a big and audacious goals which will stretch you. Not only this will stretch you however it will also awaken every passion that you have hidden deep inside. Your challenge will be to find the balance between aiming for unrealistic and realistic goals For example, it may not be realistic to set goals to become a ballerina dancer at 50 years old and you’ve never taken a ballet class. It may not be realistic to create a plan to have a world-wide chain of businesses by next year and you haven’t successfully operated a local business. Develop a master plan of how to accomplish goals. The most important thing to remember in setting a Master Plan is to dream again. It will allow you to get back in touch with those God inspired, heart-felt dreams that utilize your natural abilities, gifting, experiences and passions. We need to develop a unique set of talents and natural abilities that is a gift from God. If your goals are big enough and touch your passion, it will motivate you to continue fighting with the challenges that will always happen when you attempt to do anything out of the ordinary. rnKey 2 - Visualize – Habakkuk 2:2-3 & II Chronicles 26:5rnStart visualizing your Master Plan/Destiny on a daily basis. The more you visualize your plan/destiny, the more real it will become in your life. As you start seeing your complete plan clearly, you will also see how this plan will benefit others; how their lives will be changed because of your success. Visualizing the impact you will have on the lives of others will motivate you. It will allow your love of God and his people to override your fear of failure. You were created for a unique destiny and no one will be able to do what you do, the way you do it. You owe it to the world and to yourself to go all out in achieving your Master Plan/Destiny. Not only the lives of others will be changed, so will your life. Dream again. rnKey 3 - Take charge of your thought life – Mark 11:20-24rnAs you think in your heart so it is with you. People who fight fear of failure are flooded with thoughts of failure and loathing. Those negative thoughts convince them that they don’t have it what takes to succeed before they even start. If they finally try something and experience minor challenges, instead of pressing through, their negative self-talk convince them that the experience is proof and they don’t have it what it takes. You have to train your thoughts to be consistent with what you envision. How? Inspire and change your thoughts of life by reading Bible and read books on unlikely people who became successful. Research people who are already successful in the areas what you are going to pursue. Expose yourself to organizations or people in your community who are doing something similar to your plans. Flood your mind with thoughts of success. Key 4 - Hearing the Voice of GodrnFor Christians, hearing the voice of God and discerning his directions will build your faith and gives you confidence. God’s direction will always lead you to the path of empowerment and success especially when you know you are accomplishing a God-given destiny or purpose.
