Packers undefeated, Vikings with little chances of making it to the playoffs
Aaron Rodgers threw for 4 touchdowns in their 45-7 victory against the Vikings on Monday Night Football and the Packers remain as the only unbeaten team at the NFL with a current record of 9-0. This was probably the best game of the season for Green Bay due to the margin of victory, and also because it was against an all-time division rival in Minnesota, a team that was leaded by rookie Christian Ponder, a quarterback that hasn’t performed as expected after getting the starting position from veteran Donovan McNabb in the hopes of increasing the chances of the Vikings to make it to the post season, but with a current record of 2-7, that possibility is now escaping their hands.
Schaub out for the rest of the season
The Texans are the second team this season to lose their starting quarterback (The Colts lost Peyton Manning and there are no indications that he will return) as sources close to the franchises are saying that it is quite possible that Matt Schaub will not be playing this season anymore after an injury suffered on Sunday during Houston’s victory over the Buccaneers. The news came in the worst possible moment for the Texans, whom are currently leading the AFC South with a record of 7-3, as the lost of Schaub can be determining in terms of keeping that position.
Nadal and Federer to play on Sunday
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both will be playing against each other at the ATP World Tour Finals as both of them were drawn into Group B at the last tournament of the season on Sunday. Although Federer managed to beat Nadal at last year’s final, the tennis player from Spain still leads their head-to-head series by 17-8, with the last victory for the Spaniard at the French Open final, where he defeated Federer for the Roland Garros title for the 4th time.
NBPA no longer represents players
It is official: the NBA players will no longer be represented by the NBAPA as the latest has filed a disclaimer of interest, which means that there is no longer collective bargaining, and with things like this, players can now sue the league for anti-trust violations. This is a little different than decertification, as that is a process that would have taken longer to be completed.
