Palacio Real is one of the biggest palace of Europe

Europe is full of palaces, forts and castles from various eras. There are few among those which are very much unique. Placio Real is one of the largest palaces in Europe. It is located in Spain and it is well preserved up to the modern standards. One can imagine the great size of this palace by reading details about it. There are over two thousand rooms in this palace and all of them are having luxurious appearance. Ordinary people can visit fifty rooms in this castle as they are open for public display. One of the great aspects about Placio Real is its prime location. It is situated towards the east of Historic Center in the city of Madrid. Another great building near this place is Plaza de Espana. Unlike many other palaces of Spain, Palacio Real is one of the modern palaces. It is luxurious having auspicious appearance in all parts as it has been renovated up to the modern standards. The entrance of the Palace is from Plaza de la Almeria. There is a large dining room near the entrance. Apart from that there are many important places easily accessible from the entrance of palace. There is a china room as well as throne room in the palace. Salon Del Trono has the velvet walls in red color that look very much auspicious. There is an army museum in the western part of the palace. It is an awesome museum as it contains wide collection of stuff especially the armor suit of Charles V. The palace was first used as a residence by Carlos III. He was King and he used this palace as residence in 1764 when he moved there. The palace remained residence of Kings of Spain till 1931. The then king was exiled and ever since the palace is no more an official residence of the kings. It is now only used for official functions and ceremonies. On the east of palace lies the famous villa costa brava Campo del Moro which is a large park. Similarly one can have a great view of the place from Plaza de Oriente. It is present in front of the palace and it’s a square having the famous Philip IV statue. Apart from that there are lots of other statues of rulers of Spain. Mainly there are three statues in front of the palace that increase its importance among visitors.
