The key points to remember when looking at the lines on the palm are that lines shift and change, and that the quality of a line is one of the most important indicators of a line’s interpretation. Some authors say that they view the lines as energy power lines or as rivers as a way of understanding how clear and strong a line is. The Head Line The Head line starts between the thumb and index finger and sweeps horizontally across the palm towards the opposite side. An average Head line spans about 2/3 of the way across the palm.This line indicates the person’s mental approach to the environment. It shows thinking abilities, intellectual viewpoints, mental capacity, concentration, beliefs and learning as well as creative abilities. A strong line (deep, clear, thick) indicates a clear thinker with comprehension and concentration abilities. A weak line (shallow, pale, unclear) indicates poor concentration and a frayed part of the line indicates distraction.
