The growing importance of environmental friendly concept for the global warming movement has brought forth many mandatory factors into actions. The importance of environmental testing for noise is being focused, in particular for testing domestic noise and industrial noise. According to the Part E of the Building Regulations, the new and renovated dwellings needs to comply with the regulations formed for sound insulation testing. Sound testing is a process of testing the quality of sound and noise that persists in the dwelling. Sound pollution creates a big havoc in the day to day life of the people and affects their health in adverse manner. So the need and cause for strict regulations of building have created certain guidelines to be followed by people for constructing new house or renovating the old houses. Sound Insulation Testing is a process of testing how many decibels of sound are blocked by floors, walls and ceilings. This testing is mandatory as per the Building Regulations Approved Document E (2003). The companies which are authorised to perform Sound Insulation Testing are the registered companies who are eligible with either the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) or the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC). The testing is performed in order to check, if there is any excess noise between the dwellings and it does not affect the quality of life of the people living in it. In any case, if a new dwelling seems to be falling down to capture the requirements of regulations, there are UK based air testing and sound testing services providers who have vast experience in performing testing services for new buildings. All the buildings must acquire and pass the mandatory requirements of Building Regulations. Air testing is a process of testing the uncontrolled flow of air in the gaps and cracks of walls and dwelling. Air leakage is a major problem that can cause health issues like breathing problems. Air Tightness Testing is also required under Part L regulations. Air tightness testing is the compulsory process as the uncontrolled airflow in the building though the gaps and cracks can lead to air leakage. Air leakage creates heat loss that ultimately results in CO2 emissions. Also energy efficiently is also tested through SAP calculations as a part of Building Regulations Part L compliance for all new building either commercial or residential.
