The world today has been dependent to technological advances such as phones, fax machines and most importantly computers. One way to protect your files and folders present in your computer is to create your password for your data. Password protected files can be safe from these people who do computer crimes.

Software that can help you with such problem is the IDoo File Encryption. Encryption is a term used in data security which transforms files into secret codes and to be able to access these encrypted data, you will need certain password. The software IDoo File Encryption enables users to set passwords and create a safe place for files such as word documents or any valuable information of yours.

Here’s a simple guide you can use for your IDoo File Encryption software.

Lock and Unlock Files, Folders, Drives

To begin with, you must have a copy of the IDoo File Encryption software, which can be download in their website or buy online or in any computer store and install it in your device. For Pro users, you must enter your password for your account in IDoo. Be sure that you can easily remember it to be able to access your account and run the software. Using the Lock Data option, choose a file or folder you want to lock and add to the list. To complete the process, click the Lock Files button. If you want to unlock your encrypted data, select the locked files you want to unlock and then click the Unlock Files Button.

Changing passwords for your locked files

You can change the password of your locked files by clicking the Settings then Change password. Enter your new password and save the changes.

Access Locked Files

Simply click the locked file and enter your password. Make sure that you close the file after using it to protect it again so no one can access them except you.

Encrypt a File

To encrypt a file means to translate a file into a secret code. Using IDoo File Encryption, right click the file you want to encrypt and IDoo File Encryption then encrypt it to .exe. Enter your password for the encrypted file and click OK button.

Decrypt a File

To decrypt a file, double click your chosen file or folder and enter the password.

Safely Deleting Data

To safely delete data, right click the file or folder then click the IDoo File Encryption and Shred and Delete it.
