India is famous as a land of diversities. Here trends and traditions change after every few miles. From top to bottom, the country has countless tradition. Rajasthan is amongst the most popular states of the country. The region enjoys popularity due to different reasons. A variety of cultures is one of those reasons. Rajasthan is a place where people still follow their deep rooted traditional, which is almost lost in today's high-tech life.

Rajasthan tribals are the people who are the successors of original inhabitant. The main tribes of Rajasthan include:

Bhils

Bhils are the principal tribe of the state. Banswara region is the main hub of this tribal group. Comprising around 39% of the tribal population of the state, the tribe founds its mention in the great Hindu epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata. According to the belief, the tribal group got merged with Rajput rulers to sustain their existence in later times.

Baneshwar festival of Dungarpur is the most revered festival of this group. They sing and dance during the festival to express their happiness. Holi is also festive time for the tribal group. They are highly superstitious.

Minas

It is another popular tribe in the region. Noted as the second largest tribe, Minas dominate Shekhawati and some Eastern parts of the state. Recognized with their tall and strong built, they follow the ritual of getting married in young age. Literacy rate among them is as low as Bhils. Sharp features of their faces make them stand apart from the rest tribes.

Gadiya Lohars

This tribe is bit different from other tribes of Rajasthan. The name Gadiya Lohars speaks about the hard times of the tribe. Gadiya denotes their colourful bullock carts and Lohar means ironsmith. They keep moving in their bullock carts from one place to another. They left their homeland at the time Mewar fell to the Mughals and pledged not to settle anywhere else until their ruler again gets the power to rule. They use their bullock carts as their homes.

A director also tried to limelight their struggle for a healthy life by making a film named 'Gadia Lohar: A Life and Livelihood in Question?'
Rajasthan is a state that changes the tradition, water and turban after every few miles. Other names in the list of tribes in Rajasthan include Garasias, Sahariyas, Damors, Meo, Banjara, Rabaris, Kathodi, Kanjar and Sansi. All these are following the trends and rituals that their fathers and forefathers made them learn. They follow all their rituals as if they are offering their homage to the Almighty.
