Like all other sports golf also needs endurance and stamina. A golfer needs to have a proper diet and nutrition for more energy and muscle endurance. Good golf nutrition contains food low in fat content and high in protein content. Diet of a player should contain lot of green leafy vegetables, lean meat, poultry, fish and fruits. These things contain lot of vitamins, mineral and fibre. Fibre is needed for the absorption of nutrients and proper functioning of digestive system. Golfers should avoid foods like potatoes, rice, corn and white bread as these food items contain lot of starch. Starchy food decreases the stamina of person involved in any type of sport. It is better to eat several small meals instead of three big meals. Eating frequent meals increases the metabolic rate. High metabolic rate helps in losing weight which means better health.nnIt is a good idea to drink plenty of water. A golf player should drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Water gives lot of energy and washes out all the harmful toxins from the body. A golfer should avoid caffeine and alcohol as both of then can badly affect the performance. Caffeine can increase the heart rate and alcoholic beverages can disturb the body`s coordination. You can easily increase your stamina and endurance by using above tips and techniques. It is a good idea to visit a dietician as he can plan your diet according to your needs. Good nutrition and proper work out are indispensable for improving your golf performance.
