Performance advertising, performance marketing and social advertising all take their root base in social networking internet sites that promote networking among a large group of global populations. Before the advent of the World Wide Web or the internet, advertising costs are based solely on the discretion of the advertising agency and the company that is being advertised. It does not matter whether the advertisements themselves are effective or efficient enough—reaching the targeted audience, effectively convincing people to purchase the product, or to just even like the product or the advertisement itself. The internet, however, changed all of that. With performance advertising, performance marketing and social advertising, the effectiveness of a certain advertisement can now be taken into account. When accounting for the advertising agency’s claim to the ad’s monetary value, the cost of advertising becomes necessary. The term social advertising may also refer to advertising for social reforms and issues. However, the internet gave birth to the use of social networking web sites, and even chatting web sites to promote advertisements and even methods to accurately measure the effectiveness of the ads themselves. Imagine being able to know how many persons were reached by the advertisement a company posts on the internet; or being able to know exactly the response of the targeted consumer audience to a certain product or service an internet advertisement makes; or being able to know the performance marketing value of a certain marketing venture. Measuring performances of advertisements, marketing ventures, and other corporate or entrepreneurial activities can now be done even in real time, or as it happens. Thanks to the internet. The advantages of performance advertising, performance marketing through social advertising, or using the internet and its resources to expand business ventures make businesses more efficient in their cost-cutting measures. This then will drive the businesses that use performance advertising and performance marketing to greater return on investments for their advertisements and marketing efforts. An increase in the return on investments of advertisements a company makes results in greater sales. An increase in sales will mean an increase in profit, generally speaking. Thus, this makes businesses happy, and rich too. The effects that performance advertising and performance marketing done in social advertisingmethods will definitely cascade to the people that work in the companies and factories that employ performance advertising. More efficiency and effectiveness on advertisement efforts by the use of performance advertising will result to a more efficient business strategy. This now means a more efficient workplace in the world. Efficiency is being smart. It is thinking of ways to get more things done in less energy, less space, less time. Performance advertising with performance marketing through the use of social advertising makes a more efficient advertising strategy for companies. Smarter companies mean smarter business. Smarter businesses mean smarter national economies. Smarter national economies mean a smarter world. Being smart starts by thinking and by measuring the performance value of every activity. It is not to create frantic madness of movement and speed, but to a controlled pace that sustains a steady state of progress and an increase in profits or benefits.
