All too often you hear people speak about what is going in their lives that is not working and how miserable and or unhappy it is making them feel. Throughout the day we encounter circumstances which are not always optimum or what we had initially desired and begin to let these unforeseen events affect our mood; thus creating a state of unhappiness.
To grow spiritually is to understand that we are responsible for creating and defining our happiness. Our state of happiness is created from within us and not defined by how people treat us or make us feel. Being happy is a conscious decision just like everything else in this life; you decide what it is that you want and what it is that you do not want. If you want to be happy you must define what happy is for you and then make a conscious decision to feel that happiness at all times no matter what situation, event or circumstance which may arise.
One of the first steps that you can take towards creating your own state of happiness is to stop looking for people,things and other exte
al sources to determine how you feel at that moment. Once you decide to ultimately be in charge of you then you will no longer tolerate those exte
al sources that are not in your best interest.
Take that first step today - say to yourself the following affirmation:
"I am in charge of my life and all of the decisions that I make and I decide to define,create and experience my own in happiness."
