PLANETS EFFECTS ON US AND VEDIC ASTROLOGY

Mars: The Mars is considered as a ‘hot planet’. Mars controls the muscular system of the body and also affects over nose, forehead and circulatory systems. The day of Mars is Tuesday and gemstone is Coral. If it is not placed correctly in one’s horoscope, it can cause accidents, blood clots, and inflammation of the lungs, typhoid and other blood disorders. Mars takes about 45 days to travel one sign. Mars is the Bhatrukaraka or planet connected with brother.

Mercury: Mercury is responsible for intelligence and communication skills. This Planet governs the nervous system. The day of Mercury is Wednesday and gemstone is Emerald. Rahu: Rahu is a malefic Planet and do not have any special day dedicated to him. According to Hindu Mythology Rahu swallows the Sun or the Moon causing eclipses. Its color is black. Rahu takes approximately 1-1/2 years to travel a sign and hence completes the round of the zodiac in 18 years.
Ketu: Ketu is also considered as the malefic Planet and do not have any specific day dedicated to him. According to Hindu mythology, Ketu is generally referred as a "shadow" planet and descending lunar node. The Gemstone of Ketu is Cats Eye. Ketu is responsible for grand parents, technical trades, spiritual inclinations, superstitions and electronics. Colour of Ketu is brown. Ketu is always in the opposite sign to Rahu, i.e., exactly 180 degrees away. Ketu also takes approximately 1-1/2 years to travel a sign and hence completes the round of the zodiac in 18 years.
