I cannot emphasize enough the importance of quitting smoking. Look we all know that it is really bad for your health so I am not going to cover the health implications of smoking in this article.

The first thing you need to have in your plan is a reason to stop smoking. Why do you want to quit? If you are reading this article then you must have something in mind. Write this down on paper. This was the first thing that helped me to overcome the habit.
My reason was simple; I was a hypocrite, talking about the importance of leading by example and lighting up a cigarette two minutes later. This double standard was eating me up inside and putting this on paper really helped me to focus on quitting.

Be prepared; get your ducks in a row so that you eliminate excuses. My friend bought a book for example and also prepared herself mentally. I myself had gum on hand to help with any immediate cravings.
The Dangers of Second Hand Smoke on Your Family

If you are looking to learn about the dangers of second smoke for the good of your family's health, then this article has some important information you are not going to want to miss. First I will introduce you to environmental smoke and it's dangers. I will then discuss the reasons it is dangerous and the problems it can cause.

Finally I will discuss how selfish and thoughtless the unrepentant smoker is that smokes around children and other family members. At the conclusion of this article, I'm sure you will feel the same.

Second hand smoke, environmental smoke is tobacco smoke that is inhaled involuntarily by someone other than the smoker.

There are two kinds of second hand smoke, these are:
Side stream: Smoke that is released directly from the tobacco product (cigarette, cigar, pipe etc)
Mainstream: Smoke that is that has been inhaled and then breathed out by the smoker
Mind Over Smoking - Learn Why it Can Be Easy to Quit
You may currently believe that quitting smoking has to be difficult. This belief is so prevalent that the statement that, "quitting can be easy" is hard to believe although it is a simple fact.

In researching my book Stop Smoking for the Last Time, I took on the tedious task of reading every Surgeon General's report on smoking. In the landmark 1988 report, that started the buzz about nicotine being as addictive as heroin, I found this statement:
Ten studies show that approximately 30 percent of opioid (narcotic) dependent persons spontaneously remit (Anglin et al. 1986) although estimates of remission rates vary from 2 percent to 65 percent (Harrington and Cox 1979; Winick 1962).
