Jammu & Kashmir is the most charming states in India located in northern most part of the country. Simply called as Kashmir, the state is best known for extraordinary bountiful natural beauty and lots of nature wonders. Famed as the Paradise on the Earth, the state is widely acclaimed for its unique geographical and aesthetic beauty. It is poetry of nature cannot be interpreted in words of human languages. When you visit this charming Indian state you will come across many majestic snow-covered mountains, crystal clear lakes, picturesque landscapes, verdant woods, rolling hill, mountain streams, gushing waterfalls, mountainous landscapes, etc. You will also see many cultural sites including temples, mosques and monasteries.

The state of Jammu & Kashmir comprises of three main regions namely the foothills of Jammu, Kashmir Valley and mountainous region of Ladakh. These all three regions are very popular among tourists with their charm and attractions. There are many tourist attractions and interesting tourist places in these regions which attract tourists not only from all over India but also from abroad.

Nestled at the foothills of the Pir Panjal Mountains, Jammu is the winter capital of the state. It is also called the City of Temples as there are many temples and religious shrines in and around this city. Major attractions in Jammu region include Vaishno Devi Temple, Mansar Lake, Bahu Fort & Gardens, Raghunath Temple, Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary, Ranbireshwar Temple, Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Peer Baba, Mahamaya Temple, Sudh Mahadev Temple, Amar Mahal Palace, Gauri Kund, etc.

The region of Kashmir Valley is indeed a paradise. Possessing abundant natural beauty, it has been very popular among nature lovers, families, kids, trekkers and honeymooners. Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg are famous tourist places which are key attraction of Kashmir tourism. Srinagar is the summer capital of the state and has tourist attractions like Mughal Gardens, Dal Lake, Houseboat, etc. Dal Lake and Wular Lake of Kashmir valley are widely acclaimed for pristine beauty. Glaciers, waterfalls, tranquil lakes, snow-covered peaks, etc are some things which attract travelers to Sonamarg. Gulmarg is one of the finest skiing resorts in the world. The charm of Gulmarg with snow-clad mountain peaks and magical meadows never fail to lure visitors.

Ladakh is a land like no other. The region is also called as the Cold Desert. Though the region is deeply influenced by Tibetan Buddhist culture, it is also called the Little Tibet. Leh is capital town of the region. Leh is widely acclaimed for its magnificent Buddhist monuments and monasteries. Ladakh region has been very popular among adventure enthusiasts and trekkers. Various Buddhist monasteries and adventure sports & activities are main attractions of Leh Ladakh tourism in Kashmir.
