The amazing power of affirmations and its ability to attract an abundance of wealth, happiness and success is now integral to one’s journey of fulfillment and discovery. The great power of affirmations are unleashed when they become habitual and are filled with emotion and feeling. Consistent emotion filled daily affirmations increase and strengthen your positive mental consciousness. Powerful affirmations are positive statements that will slowly but surely cleanse away many years of negativity. But the power of positive affirmations needs steel; you need to invest commitment to make the power of daily affirmation work for you. Now, let us look several critical and important steps that will make and add steel to our journey in effectively using the power of affirmations: STEP 1 MAKE A REALISTIC LIST OF ALL YOUR NEGATIVE QUALITIES Make a list of all that you perceive are your negative qualities. You have to realistically include the negative aspects that your friends, family and colleagues have told you about. It’s important not be judgmental as to whether you feel these aspects of you are true or untrue. Be honest, be realistic--- be human. When you have completed your list, look for any recurring themes that may exist such as ‘I am undeserving’. Identifying these recurring beliefs is the vital first step to start shifting from your negative mindset to one that is more positive. STEP 2- MAKE AN AFFIRMATION LIST THAT WILL COVER YOUR rnPOSITIVE ASPECTS- These are your positive affirmations that will help you overcome your negative aspects. These will be part and parcel of your daily affirmations. These are strong statements that will help your resolve—and will be your first steps to attracting more of the things you want in your life. - Use power affirmation statements such as “I am cherished and loved” instead of “I’m worthy of this”. - Use a thesaurus and ask a friend to add inputs and suggestions to your daily affirmations. STEP 3 RECITE THE POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS OUT LOUD, THREE TIMES A DAY. To reinforce these affirmations its important you do them regularly every day i.e. First thing in the morning, in the afternoon, and last thing at night. If possible try and recite your affirmations while looking at yourself in the mirror, as this will help you put more emotion and feeling into your statements Some ideal times to do this would be when doing some of your morning rituals such as when you are shaving or for women, when you are putting on makeup. STEP 4- SEEK THE HELP OF A PARTNER OR FRIEND. Ask a partner or friend to recite your affirmations to you. This will help further reinforce your new beliefs as it’s also coming from an external source. In the event that you cannot find a partner, then you can again use your image in the mirror as we discussed in step 3. Let me repeat again. Daily positive affirmations are powerful tools for change, but identifying the self sabotaging and defeatist beliefs are essential if they are to have the greatest effect. If you still have difficulty with some issues, it does not hurt if you consult a professional therapist. The therapist will assist you to clear out some deep seated issues within you. Moreover, think about mind fullness meditation. Meditating for a certain time in day, will help you identify deep seated issues. The power of positive affirmation also means the power to accept your weaknesses. This is a crucial step. Accept this and you will be on the right path…the path to complete transformation and discovery.
