5-10 years from now, there will most likely be no text here in this article. It will be a short & concise 2.7 minute video communication. 5-10 years ago many of the largest internet companies in the world didn't even exist. Today you'd be hard pressed to find someone who didn't know about Google, Facebook (who just surpassed Google for most visitors), YouTube (second largest search engine) or Twitter. Social Media has exploded on the internet and the major fortune 500 companies are redirecting major amounts of marketing dollars to the world of online media and marketing. Dell computers reports to have sold more than $3,000,000 worth of computers through Twitter alone. Now there is an even greater trend within this social media trend that is drastically taking over ground at an alarming rate. It is Video Communication!

Check the staggering numbers below:
* video usage increased by 175% in 2008 alone
* video traffic boomed to 54% of total in 2008
* 100 million video are watch on Youtube alone every day, which equals to 3 billion people watches per month
* 136 million people are watching a video online each minute, which is about 100 billion people watch video per month
* Visitors stay 10 times longer on the websites with video than the text and graphic based pages

When I'm typing these numbers, some of them might be doubled already. The speed of change is never that fast since the internet came into our life. We are experiencing an incredible part of the industrial revolution. Just like the steps from the walking, riding, driving to flying, a few decades later human beings are on the moon and out the space.

In 2009 alone, there are 4 billion gigabytes of brand new information was created in the world, which is more than the information has been created in the last 5000 years by human beings. A few years later, we will find the major information will be communicated around the world based on video. It was said Google paid over 1.5 billion dollars to Youtube in the first 18 months since it started. In a short time frame, video communication contains more information and gets more efficiency. Video gives the viewer a bigger impact and impression compared with text and graphics, and video establishes credibility in a way that other media is incapable of. Now and in the future, we will witness a dramatically increase of the video promotion, marketing and communication.

A video can in a few seconds or minutes provide more information in a more understandable manner that through the mode of reading. People Only Remember: 10% of what they read; 20% of what they hear; 30% of what they see; 50% of what they see & hear simultaneously; 80% of what they see, hear and take action on. The ROI on using social media and video communication is that your business will still exist in 5 years.
