I have taken magnesium for years, the reaso
I have taken it is for regularity. Now I have found out that is just one of its values. Since I have been taking it, no matter what I eat, drink or exercise my body is consistently regular. Now that I not working in the corporate world and I have more time to eat and take care of myself, not always do I take it everyday. That fact though may change after doing some research on the other benefits of magnesium, at least one a day will definitely benefit the body.
Did you know that magnesium could reduce your risk of gallstones? Also women are more prone to gallstones that men, and if you are 20 pounds over weight it increases your chances of creating gallstones. While we are on the subject of gallstones I will give you some other interesting facts to prevent gallstones and/or relieve the gallbladder attach. One baby aspirin per day can help dissolve gallstones, and also to discourage them from forming; lecithin, milk thistle and dandelion root all are excellent for detoxing the gallbladder and dissolving the actual stones.
Foods that are high in magnesium are spinach, broccoli, nuts (especially almonds), beans, whole grains and seafood. Also high fiber foods, dairy products, chocolate, of course the chocolate should be low in sugar grams and at 70% or higher cocoa content.
Magnesium deficiency is also associated with a high risk of inflammation, osteoporosis, heart disease and stroke; so be sure and take your magnesium every day as it definitely is a powerhouse supplement to be taking for your over all health program.
