Make it a point to eat a lot of fresh frozen vegetables and fruits and low-sodium canned vegetables. Whole grains do wonders for the heart as they are good sources of fiber and play a vital role in regulating blood pressure and heart health. Whole-wheat flour, whole-grain bread, high fiber cereal, oatmeal and ground flaxseed are some examples of healthy whole grains for your heart. Make it a point to visit your doctor periodically to get your heart checked. Take care of your heart as an unhealthy heart is most likely to become a victim of a heart attack or a heart failure.
