Size: 6×50 aka the “Butch Cassidy”
Wrapper: Dominican Habanor
Binder: Dominicanr
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan

This Pride Bandolero offers a nice, even burn and draw throughout with a medium gray colored ash. The binder and filler are triple fermented, and aged for three years. Once finished, the cigars are further ripened six more months in a cedar chest. Because of this process, you are left with a nice woody cedar taste throughout this powerhouse.

The wrapper is dark in color, but different than a dark maduro because of its natural dark shade. Though the veins are very prominent, it does not affect the enjoyment or smoke of this Bandolero, which is quite normal with Pride Cigars.

The first third is earthy, and follows through with a nice spice that is not too robust, but just enough to know that there is Nicaraguan tobacco in this creation. Also, lots of woody oak and cedar are poking prominently throughout. In addition, I am picking up hints of coffee and white pepper in the retrohale.

In the second third, I can still taste the woody flavor mixed with espresso and spice. More than that, I am getting a taste of chocolate- mmmmm the touch of sweetness is pleasant.

Nearing the final third, the earthiness is still there, but the woody seasoning and spice has deminished almost completely. In exhcange, the chocolate is gaining strength, almost reminding me of a nice dark chocolate mixed with espresso.

Overall, I really like this new cigar from Ares Contreras, owner of Pride Cigars. Thank you for giving me a more fuller, stronger Pride to smoke.

Give it a try, Mike has plenty at Tampa Humidor.
