The traffic management in the cities requires proper plans and management traffic because there is a huge traffic problem there. The roads are lesser and vehicles are more. The stream of traffic is to be maintained because it directly affects the country personals. There are many accidents and other types of fatal incidents that are caused by the improper management of the traffic. To minimize the road incidents and to save the lives of the people, the traffic management plans are designed to ensure the safety of the drivers and the personals.

The drivers are given proper education on the road traffic management rules and regulations. Every country has its own traffic rules and regulations. The departments of traffic control are responsible of anything fatal if happens like loss of life in road incidents. The education of the driver about the road rules is very important and most of the drivers are now aware. The road maintenance and proper repair is also necessary so that the risk of accidents and loss of life can be lessened. The roads are maintained and checked regularly because major accidents are the outcome of road problems.

The authorities ensure the road repair during low traffic hours for the convenience of the people. Due to the increase in population and modernization, the traffic pressure has increased in every country. It is very difficult to control the traffic on highways because they are busy roads and any blockage can cause loss of time and people don’t compromise. The parking areas along the roads are made for covering the extra traffic in case of road blockage due to some repair procedure or any accident. The parking area is also an example of traffic management plan.

The bikers and the people who walk along the roads are also given space by providing sidewalks, crosswalks and the bike lanes. The pedestrian traffic also causes the problems in the road vehicle traffic that’s why the spot lights were introduced so that like the traffic, people also walk and stop according to the traffic signs. The safety of the pedestrians is ensured by placing the cameras along the roads.

The traffic control is also done by using many other factors. The drivers are not allowed to increase their speed in the residence areas. The usage of alcohol or drugs during driving is also prohibited. The road traffic authorities often inspect the drivers regularly or randomly.

The traffic cones, speed bumps and color coding type devices are used to control the traffic on the busy roads. These are the signs which are understood by the common people and the drivers. The traffic cones keep the vehicles away from the areas where the entry is not safe. Speed bumps are often used in areas where the accident ratio is more as compared to other areas. This helps in keeping the speed of the vehicle less. The traffic control in Sydney is a very good example of the management plans.
