Firstly what do endocrinologist in Delhi does? They are doctors who specialize in the endocrine system. Many are not actually aware of what an endocrine is. It’s really all scientific so let’s first of all explain them in simpler forms. The endocrine system is a part of the human body that controls the function of the body in case of mood, growth, sexual activities etc. They deal with firstly hormones, whose work is to transfer information and instructions from one set of cells to another. Secondly, a gland, which is a group of cells that produces and secretes chemicals meaning your saliva, sweat etc. So an endocrinologist in Delhi deals with disorders of deficiency or excess of the hormones in your body. Such symptoms are diabetes and thyroid.

Thyroid controls how quickly the body uses energy and controls how sensitive the body is to other hormones. Problems in thyroid could lead to obesity, heart disease, depression, anxiety, hair loss, sexual dysfunction, infertility etc. People are unaware of this so it is advisable to see a thyroid specialist in Delhi if one is suffering from these symptoms such as muscle and joint pain, discomfort or enlargement in the neck, change in hair and skin, bowel problems or menstrual and fertility problems.

Diabetes is a disease in which the person has a high blood pressure because there is not enough insulin, which is an enzyme produced by the pancreas. In simple words, insulin causes cells in the liver, muscle and fat tissue to take up glucose from the blood and storing it as glycogen inside them. So absence of this leads to different symptoms such as high blood sugar. Though there are different types of diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes is when the body's immune system destroys the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Also known as juvenile-onset diabetes, accounts for 10-15% of all people with the disease. It can appear at any age, although commonly under 40. It is triggered by environmental factors such as viruses, diet or chemicals in people genetically predisposed. People with type 1 diabetes must inject themselves with insulin several times a day and follow a careful diet and exercise plan. Symptoms of Type I would be weight loss and dehydration.

Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes, affecting 85-90% of all people with the disease. This type of diabetes, also known as late-onset diabetes, is characterized by insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency. It is strongly genetic in origin but lifestyle factors such as excess weight, inactivity, high blood pressure and poor diet are major risk factors for its development. Symptoms may not show for many years and, by the time they appear, significant problems may have developed.

Patients are twice as likely to suffer cardiovascular disease. It may be treated by dietary changes, exercise or tablets. Insulin injections may later be required. Type 2 leads to increased fatigue, weight fluctuation, blurry vision, and increase in urination, frequent skin infections and poor wound healing.

I think its best to leave it to a diabetes specialist in Delhi who can explain and cure these diseases for us even though they are life long diseases. To cure and take care of these kinds of diseases we need real specialized people such as endocrinologists in Delhi who can give us guidance on dealing with them since they are more complicated than any other form of infections.
