It's important to stay in touch with other professionals in the industry. In the case that you may not be the most social person, bring a more outgoing friend along with you to these events. Having someone there to support you is a great confidence booster. Professional organizations are another avenue to help learn new things as well as promote your services. Such groups will give you a basis of support and tools necessary for success. Most organizations hold workshops and other networking events. Most likely, you'll also receive a lot of useful industry information from such associations. Check out your local professional organization, you may be surprised at you'll find. Too often, people think they should separate work from their personal lives. However, it's important to let people know what you're up too, including your friends and family. As mentioned above you may get connected with unexpected people just by letting your personal connections know what you're doing with your own business. While they may not personally need your services they may have been chatting with a friend that was looking for someone who does exactly what you do, you simply never know. If you haven't already, it's time to get involved with your community and get your name publicized. This may not be a traditional promotional avenue, but it's an avenue often overlooked. Getting involved in volunteering, for example, is a great way to give back to your community and meet new people. The best real estate marketing tip you'll receive is to use multiple avenues. There are many strategies available to you and you'll find out which ones work best through trial and error.
