Project Tushti by Nayara Energy
On September 18, 2019, Nayara Energy, announced the launch of Project Tushti - aimed at eradicating under-nutrition & promoting social upliftment in Dwarka. Furthering the company’s commitment to the communities, the project strives to make Devbhumi Dwarka district under-nutrition free. The initiative was launched by Hon. Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani, Government of Gujarat in Gandhinagar.
The company which operates the country’s second-largest single-site refinery in the region has played a pivotal role in improving the quality of life of the communities through several sustainable development projects in areas of health and nutrition, education and the environment. At 2019 Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Nayara Energy and Government of Gujarat joined hands to collaborate for a Public-Private Partnership with an endeavor to make Devbhumi Dwarka under-nutrition free.
Devbhumi Dwarka has been the cornerstone of Nayara Energy’s existence since the time the foundation of the refinery was laid in Vadinar. Project Tushti aims to improve the levels of nutrition in Devbhumi Dwarka, contributing to the overall progress of the region. Nayara Energy, along with its implementation partners, JSI R&T India Foundation and Indian Institute of Public Health – Gandhinagar (IIPHG), will work closely with the Integrated Child Development Services Scheme (ICDS) and the Department of Women & Child Development (DWCD). Project Tushti will strengthen the district’s nutrition indicators by leveraging Health and Wellness centers through technology and new-age delivery mechanisms.
