Experienced real estate agents know that the competition to sell properties is fierce, and that the agent who wants to earn consistent commissions has to set himself above the crowd. One way an agent can increase his visibility is to use real estate postcards as a marketing tool. A postcard, used effectively, can help an agent build his brand. The objective is to get a postcard into the hand of the homeowner, and for the homeowner to keep the card, and not toss it into the trash. Some agents will add something of perceived value on the card, like an inspirational quote, a recipe card, or calendar. The card that has a calendar or recipe is more likely to go on the refrigerator door than into the trash can, and the agent's information will be in plain site each time the fridge door is opened. If the postcard has perceived value, the homeowner might stick the postcard on her refrigerator door, where she will see it each time she goes to the fridge. Mail the cards each month, with a new message, so that the homeowner will get accustomed to receiving new messages each month. Think of postcard marketing as a long term strategy. Results could come faster however, if the agents follow up with a personal visit or phone call. It might take time to knock on a door or make a phone call, but the real estate agent who does, will separate himself from agents who are more interested in internet campaigns. Many agents have forgotten the value of simply talking to people personally, because they spend so much time trying to find internet leads. Building a successful realty business takes time, persistence, and determination. An agent who includes postcard marketing in his promotional campaign sets himself apart from other agents. Homeowners, given the choice of choosing an agent to sell their home, will choose the agent they know, rather than an unknown agent. The postcard must be printed on top quality stock paper. The postcard must be big enough to catch the attention of the homeowner. The photo of the agent should be on the postcard in order to make the card more personal. The agent's website URL should be listed somewhere on the card, along with the agent's phone number and email address. It is no secret that many people are losing their homes to foreclosure. An agent who specializes in foreclosed property sales can use postcard marketing to reach homeowners who need to sell their home in order to avoid foreclosure. The homeowner who is facing foreclosure will hold onto a postcard sent by the agent who can help him avoid foreclosure. Experienced real estate agents know that in order for them to sell houses, they have to use effective marketing strategies. An effective marketing campaign includes the strategic use of real estate postcards, which can help an agent build his brand and increase his sales. The agent who follows up his mailings with a personal visit or telephone call, will see his sales explode.
