Property search via mobile is on the rise

Smartphones have now become one of the most essential parts of everyone’s life, especially when it comes to the modern society. A recent study by Survey Monkey said that the usage of Smartphone is increasing day by day and nearly 61% of the world population owns a mobile phone of which 72% of the people use their Smartphone to surf through the internet and to search their daily needs. These stats show the importance of mobile in our daily life especially when it comes to internet searches. With the increasing market demands and customer satisfaction, businesses are advancing to a new world, and when it comes to the real estate industry, it has always been in the heart of every change. People are moving towards the growing modern world leaving down the manual searches like checking for plots or residential places by roaming the streets and the different parts of the city. The internet world allows the user to search for the particular residential or commercial area or even a plot with just a click of the mouse. What about the budget? One can even look out for properties in the budget that matches their wallet. For instance, if a property buyer is searching for apartments or residential plots in Chennai through mobile then they can view in-depth details such as price, locality insight, amenities etc., on a single go. Everything is mobile now. Even the property searches are turning towards the mobile market. With the increase in the Smartphone usage, many property firms have launched their apps that help find website visitors properties even when they’re on the go. There has been a lot of development in the methods used by investors to search for properties, from the traditional brokerage or word of mouth to the recent mobile searches that let you find anything from the place where you are. Just a tap on the app allows buyers find their dream place, and the owner can easily interact with the buyers directly avoiding brokerage. Indiaproperty.com has recently revealed a report about mobile property searches. In that report, it states that in January 2014, 10% of the mobile searched were related to that of the property search whereas in May 2014, the percentage increased to 40%. Useful and creative app as well as mobile-friendly websites have made mobile searches more comfortable and convenient on-the-go when compared with the desktop searches. The study also stated that young property seekers are searching their property on mobiles rather than using the desktop. According to the survey report, nearly 64% of mobile property searches were being done by the people in the age group 18 to 34 years. These stats show that mobile property searches could get more popular in future.
