Puerto Rico Island, a beautiful destination!

You could also take the local mode of transportation to Bosque Estatal de Carite. This is nestled in the confines of the central mountains and gives you a look of Puerto Rico’s neighboring island of Culebra. For bicycling enthusiasts, one can even pedal their way around the magnificent island of Vieques.

An important thing to do when you are visiting Puerto Rico is not to come with an itinerary on hand. Instead keep your options open and allow yourself to discover the place as you go. The city has a lot of history to it that can get interesting for even the most simple of tourists. Take for example gorgeous San Juan, where you will find remnants of colonial-style buildings and in fact an entire city that has been preserved that way. You will find senior citizens lounging around on recliners and two of the most amazing military forts you have seen in the region. Head to the south coast of Ponce and take in the beauty of the Atlantic, like you have never seen before. And the nightlife? Well suffice to say if reggae is your thing, then you will have arrived.
