There are many excuses that are made by people who are unhappy with their weight for why the find it difficult to drop the extra kilos that they are carrying. Some of the more common ones are that they are naturally overweight or don't have the time to exercise or eat well. As a busy executive myself, I find this is an excuse rather than a reason for being overweight.
Being time poor does not mean that you have to hope an easy way out is the solution, it just means you have to be smarter with the time that you have and plan to do the things that are important to you.
When I found myself putting on a few kilos and noticed how quickly I was becoming short of breath while I was pushing my son uphill in his pram, while talking on the phone, I decided to take action. I had always been fairly lean and active, but fatherhood and a city lifestyle had caused me to do fewer and fewer energetic activities. I decided the first thing I had to do was to get my fitness back.
For me the best way to get results is to tackle the problem head on. I didn't want to ease my way back into fitness; I wanted to solve the problem quickly so I could then enjoy various types of exercise, so I decided to try a bootcamp.
From the informatio
I had gathered there were bootcamps with fitness in mind that were designed to get you fit quickly, not just to lose weight. I knew that once I was fit enough to participate in a variety of exercises, that the small amount of weight I had gained would be easy to lose.
The bootcamp I chose to join had three sessions per week, all based around different themes. This helped to keep things interesting. There is no way that I can commit myself to the same type of exercise that I do not enjoy, like jogging. That would never have worked.
Our sessions were help in a park, on a beach, at a gym, on a football field and in the nature. Each session included very different drills from the other and we were lucky enough to have the same people attending each session. Some of the other participants and I got along and interacted during the training to make it more fun. The trainer might have encouraged this to help us enjoy what we were doing, and to help push ourselves further.
The surprise for me was that the bootcamps were not about pushing your body to the limits like you see on shows like The Biggest Loser. It was about doing lots of different exercises with little recovery time in between. One of the biggest plusses for me was that it was a challenging environment that helped keep the training interesting and sometimes fun. Not just the same repetitive exercises in a gym or like I mentioned before, jogging. There are lots of bootcamps across Melbou
e in Australia where I live and I am sure that you can find them in your city too. I recommend them as a way to kick start weight loss in a positive frame of mind.

Moving Meditation: How Precision-Based Exercise Supports Mental and Emotional Growth
Movement is one of the most honest forms of self-connection. The body never lies. It holds stress, records emotion, and reveals when something feels off. For many, this is why exercise has always been more than fitness; itâs therapy through motion. But not all movement heals. Some styles exhaust, others distract. True healing often begins in the slow, intentional kind, the kind that lets the body lead and the mind follow.rnThatâs where precision-based training, such as re
