Radiation shielding materials Are Used For Protection
Where there is a radiation the shielding should be there. The protection against radiation is very essential.
Radiation is present in many gadgets which we use. But the radiation is very less and the effects are less. The X rays are used for many medical purposes. The X ray technician is continuously exposed to the radiation. He has to be protected by the radiation shielding materials. The X ray technician has to get himself tested for any problems in his body.
The continuous exposure t the radiation will increase the cell division and cause tumor. But at the same time the cancer is also treated with radiation therapy. The concrete, tungsten and the lead are the leading radiation shielding materials. Lead is the most used material. The thin sheets of lead are taken to cover the non living or the living things to protect it from the radiation.
The radio active materials are stored in the lead containers. All the devices and the gadgets used in the X ray room are covered by the lead sheets. This will protect the radiations to escape outside. The DNA of the human beings is changed. The concrete is the material which is used to protect from the radiation. But the concrete cannot be used for all purposes. This is the reason that lead is used. There are many types of emissions and radiations. There are many other shielding materials used to protect ourselves from the radiations. But the most affective is the X rays. They are dangerous if continuously exposed. If the human beings come in contact with the nuclear reactor itself there is a lot of exposure of the skin to radiation. So there should be always protection provided to have safety.
There are many paints available in the market which will protect the building from any radiations. We have to find it from the dealers to know more about it. The buildings, materials should be protected from the exposure to the radiation shielding materials. The living thing will be mostly affected by the radiations .The radiators will give out harmful rays which will affect the health. The radiation shielding materials have to be used to prevent the people from any health hazards or cancer.
