Rajput Forts and Places: Attractive Attractions of Rajasthan

India is land of a number of Forts and Palaces which are situated in various locations of the country. Rajasthan is one of the most sought after, imperial and revered tour destinations of "Forts and Palaces". The most beautiful and charming state of Rajasthan is one of the most famous states for its forts and palaces. There are many majestic forts and palaces like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Jodh Pur and Bikaner etc. The wonderful architecture of the Forts and Palaces of the Rajasthan attracts tourists from every nook and corner of the world. Rajasthan has a number of forts and palaces and some of the most prominent forts in Rajasthan are Amber Fort, Chittorgarh Fort, Jaisalmer Fort, Mehrangarh Fort, Kishangarh Fort, Bikaner Fort etc.

Amber Fort: It is located in the pink city of Jaipur (11 Km north east of Jaipur). This mind-blowing fort palace is on small hill overlooking Lake Maotha that is made of white marble and sandstone. The Amber Fort is well-known for its enormous gateways, luxurious interiors, palace halls, pavilion and many others. This beautiful and charming fort is decorated with different colors of mirrors.

Chittorgarh Fort, Udaipur: This is one of the most sought after, oldest and grandest forts in Rajasthan. All walls of this marvelous fort are lengthened over 3 km and covers up 60 acres of area. Most of the structure of this beautiful fort is built in traditional Rajputana manner and has seven vast entry gates, watch tower and spiked doors. It is one of the most liked attractions of Udaipur.

Jaisalmer Fort: It is the second oldest and famous fort in Rajasthan. This fort is also known as Sonar Quila or Golden Fort. It is situated in midst of golden desert and constructed of yellow sandstone and looks fairly dazing in night.

Mehrangarh Fort: This most beautiful Fort is one of the most largest and famous Forts of India, which is situated in the heart of Jodhpur city. The fort has houses a museum, a number of beautifully crafted and ornamented palaces.

Besides of all these forts there are some others forts like Taragarh Fort, Bundi, Junagarh Fort, Bikaner fort, Samode Fort and Kunchaman Fort etc.
