Ready to Start Dating Again - Why Not Try Your Ex Boyfriend?
Are you ready to start dating again? How about giving your ex a try? You can probably sit down and write a mile long list of all the reasons that dating your ex boyfriend is a bad idea. At the same time, it's quite likely that you could write an equally long list of all the reasons it's a great idea to go out with your ex boyfriend again. Why don't you give it a try?
While you're at it, here are a few great reasons that your ex boyfriend might make a perfect date now that a little water has gone under that bridge.
1) Absence really does make the heart grow fonder. It's true. A little time apart might be what you really need to gain some perspective and realize that he isn't as bad as you thought he was. If you need a little more incentive try dating a few other guys before you make up your mind. It's quite likely that you'll find some of the same problems without the benefit of the good things that make you fall for your ex in the first place.
2) Time heals many wounds. It may sound like a cliché but there is more than a little truth to it. Time is an excellent salve for almost all that ails you. If you allow a little time to pass you might discover that wounds that seemed so important when the two of you broke up have not only lost some of their sting but just aren't all that important anymore.
3) You are already fairly certain that he's not some sort of axe murderer or otherwise crazy man. If you have your doubts, it's probably a good idea to skip out on the idea of dating him again. If you're certain though there's a lot that can be said about that over dating someone new. The more horror stories you hear about first dates and dating disasters the easier it is to make the decision to turn to the one that you know. This is especially true if there's still a little chemistry going on between the two of you.
4) Your love deserves a second chance. If you really love each other it doesn't go away with a breakup. In fact, breakups rarely have anything to do with the two of you no longer loving each other. If you do still love your ex boyfriend maybe it's time to give that love a second chance. If you're both committed to making things better this time around it's hard to find a reason not to date your ex boyfriend again - at least long enough to see if you believe you can work things out together.
