Although, most societies see this development as strange and mostly frown at it, it is fast becoming a usual practice as older women especially successful ones are dating younger men and are excelling at it. Successful older women date younger men for various reasons, although those reasons may differ among different women but these are five common reasons why successful older women date younger men: Less baggage: According to an article in Oprah.com by Lynn Snowden, “Younger men carry far less of this bitter emotional baggage. (Maybe he’s carrying a grudge about one woman who done him wrong, but it’s probably his mother.) They see women as wonderful, exotic creatures with many treasures to offer. They’re not so far past the years when they pined to hold a real, live, naked woman that they take for granted what a terrific thrill and holy privilege it really is.” Most men as they age begin to see women as gold digging heart breakers because of their experiences from dating the wrong women. This in turn taints their views about women in general and how they treat them. A man her own age or older would probably not respect her as much as a younger man would.
