Reassurance Through Fitness
Legacy signals

I want to talk to you about something that I have been fortunate to have learned with certainty over the past several years. I want to make a statement that at first glance might seem simplistic and possibly be taken as an exaggeration by some.
That statement is this: “With whole-hearted commitment to ‘living in fitness,’ we may arrive at a profound sense of reassurance.”
What I mean by this IS fairly simple. When we are able to get past the ‘I am going on a diet, because I need to lose 25-pounds for my reunion in 4 months,’ and move on to a place, where your focus on eating well and exercising on a daily basis is something that you begin to actually commit to and do, it is possible, probable and likely that you may find a sense of peace and yes, reassurance, whereas, before there was fear, strife and worry on a daily basis.
Having spent my high school years playing sports and remaining active throughout college, exercise was not new to me, however, it was often sporadic. Consequently, I could not always consistently arrive at the results that I may have been seeking. Several years ago, I made the commitment that fitness would become something that was a daily priortity for me. I made the decision that I would not schedule my first patient until I had practiced what I preach, and gotten my exercise out of the way and completed. I have missed some days along the way, but for the most part, I feel I earned the right to say, ‘I exercise almost everyday.’
Because of this shift in my focus, I have noticed something that I was not expecting and it is a sense of peace that the progress that I am seeking will be forthcoming, if I will simply commit to continuing my commitment. By shifting one’s focus and making ‘living in fitness’ a daily commitment and personal non-negotiable, it is possible to reach a place of contentment and level of control over the body, far greater than you may have ever expected.
Until next time!

Moving Meditation: How Precision-Based Exercise Supports Mental and Emotional Growth

True healing often begins in the slow, intentional kind, the kind that lets the body lead and the mind follow.rnThatâs where precision-based training, such as re
