As the trends in merger and acquisition accelerating globally, the shadows are begin to fall on the need of financial services outsourcing. India has shown its strength to provide financial services outsourcing globally and claimed as the major destination for investment bankers and private equity firms. After the deep struggling in the financial global downturn, with the new rays of the Sun, the financial outsourcing from India is again on the rapid pace. According to Thomson Reuters in half of 2011 M&A deals are mostly associated to energy, power and financial services sectors. Announced M&A deals globally in the second quarter totalled $611 billion, down 23% compare to first quarter in which big deal such as AT&T's $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA took place. The largest deal of the second quarter was the acquisition of Synthes Inc by Johnson & Johnson valued at $20.8 billion in April.
In India M&A volume has soared up to $23.4 billion in half of 2011 slightly less the recorded volume announced in the same period of 2007. The United Kingdom has come forth as the top acquirer into Indian market followed by United States & Germany with deals worth $ 15 billion in which the significant deal of $9 billion realized by British Petroleum in February against the 23 oil and gas blocks of Reliance Petroleum is also witnessed.
