Recruitment in Banks, Government Jobs and Civil Services

There are many career fields available to us today. However, there are some fields which are more popular than the others and require much preparation to get through. There are three such career fields which are highly coveted by the majority of people in India. These fields have however, adopted a stringent method of recruitment which allows entry of only the best candidates. The responsibility of recruitments has been adapted to some efficient organizations and commissions which conduct highly competitive exams to recruit individuals to the respective fields. Three such fields and their recruiters are SSC for non gazetted government jobs, IBPS for the banking sector and UPSC for civil services. SSC: Staff Selection Commission has been appointed by the government of India to conduct exams for non-gazetted and non-technical posts in the government departments of India. It is well known for the variety of jobs it offers and the stringent methods it adopts for the recruitment of candidates. It does not only recruit through written test, but also test and interview, interview, prelims and mains, promotions. It also conducts type writing exams in English and Hindi, every year. It has its main headquarters in Delhi where all the major decisions are taken regarding the recruitments. Rests of the regional offices are spread throughout India where yearly examinations are held. IBPS: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous organization se up for the recruitments into the public sector banks of India. This year it has introduced a common written exam, which is a large scale recruitment programme for clerical posts and posts of bank po. It works on international models and conducts training sessions for its clients which help them perform better. IBPS is well known for its tough examinations which are designed by a team of highly professional faculty which tests all the major aspects of the candidates' personality. UPSC: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is a large recruiter for the civil services of India which offer a wide variety of jobs. Civil service exams are highly competitive and they stretch for almost an year where the candidate has to thoroughly prepare due to stiff competition. The civil service exams are conducted in two stages preliminary exams and mains exams. These are followed by an interview round. It is compulsory to clear all the three stages to be recruited for the offered post. Current affairs are the lifeline of civil services recruitment. One cannot clear any stage without a sound knowledge of current affairs. Therefore, all UPSC, SSC, AND IBPS conduct exams and interviews which are highly challenging. Bank recruitment or becoming a part of the civil services or government is not an easy task and hence one must be thoroughly prepared.
