Pregnancy is a special time in a woman’s life. It’s a time of great change, and these changes often mean increased stress. During pregnancy, the expecting mother’s state of relaxation is important both for her own health as well as that of the child. For this reason, Reiki, a method of natural healing and personal and spiritual growth, is especially beneficial for the expecting mother and her child.

The life energy that Reiki promotes aids in the development of the child both physically and emotionally and helps ease any discomfort the mother may experience during pregnancy such as back pain, exhaustion, anxiety, etc.

Babies that receive Reiki during pregnancy tend to be more at ease and emotionally balanced. In addition, Reiki promotes a wonderful connection between both the mother and her child.

Reiki causes no side effects nor is it ever harmful to the mother or child. Reiki helps the mother to establish harmony in times of stress or conflict and assists in the progress of a natural and fluid birth.

In order to achieve the greatest benefit, four consecutive Reiki sessions are recommended followed by sessions at regular intervals thereafter. A Reiki session typically lasts 50 minutes. During the session, the Reiki specialist hovers her hands, through which Reiki Energy flows, over the body’s chakras.
