The single life can be very similar to running a gauntlet. The many demands of a packed schedule beating on you from every side. Work, grad school, and friends from one side. You may actually spend quality time in the real world, not six minutes of face time before careening off to your next superficial time waster. Not all singles live crazy lives. Some are extremely fiscally responsible. Some make time to stop and smell their coffee before they chug it down. Some are single, but play the field and actually get to know people face to face. It is doable, but apparently no longer the norm. There is nothing wrong with being young and wild and free. As a single adult, however, you're not a teenage anymore.
