We've all had our share of ups and downs, twists and turns, rises and falls. Every life situation gives you a slice of each. One key thing to remember is: no matter what life gives you or how bad things seem, once you fall. . . all you can do is rise. Here are a few ways to remain positive as you travel through tough times. Ways to convert your negative attitudes into positive ones. Don't Fake Yourself Out of the Funk Be real. Be honest, every step of the way. There's nothing worse than faking happiness and joy when you're not feeling it. When you're not okay, say "I'm not okay." That opens the door for you to express your feelings and share what's really going on with people who care about you. Whether you're upset about a job interview that didn't go well or a job you recently lost, be honest. Then, all those you care for you are aware of what's really happening and more than willing to step up and support you, in whatever way you need. And, you're more likely feel better, genuinely feel better, just by being honest. It's a natural way to lift what lies heavy on the mind and in the heart. Find the Light In the Dark You don't have to dig deep or search far to find a negative outlook on anything. There are no shortage of headlines to help you. There is no shortage of depressing chat at work. And, just like a virus, some people live to spread the negative. Be sure to boost your immune system. Start by finding the light in the dark. Every situation is a teacher and we are its students. So, after you ask, "Why me?" Ask, "What are you here to teach me?" The first question, leaves you feeling hopeless and helpless. The second, gives you hope. Never feel victimized by a situation and stay there. Get up. Remain positive by finding the light in the dark. I have a friend who suffered with severe chronic fatigue. Pamela could barely make it through the day. Some medicines worked, for a while, some didn't. Life became tougher than it ever was. But, Pamela also asked the second question, "What are you here to teach me?" Today, she teaches others how to live successfully with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and has written several books. You could say, her mess became her message. Another way to remain positive is to be clear about your value on this earth. Honor yourself. Believe the space you hold on this earth is valuable, and you are a meaningful part of creation. Your life has weight. And, that my friend, is powerful. When you understand that your life has weight, you know and believe, you weren't just dropped on earth by accident. A space was created. . . just for you. With that belief, your life becomes one big wonder. A miracle traveled over 70, 80, or 90 years. You start to view all those ups and downs, twists and turns, rises and falls, as something we call life. And, the positive thoughts start pouring in. You realize you've been here before, and it shall pass. Just hang on for the ride. Once you fall, all you can do is rise. Copyright 2011. Asia Sharif-Clark. All rights reserved.

When the word “premium” is too often defined by luxury materials and high price tags, the Eastern-born high-end sports brand WATERFLY offers a more contemporary and meaningful interpretation. At the core of the brand lies the philosophy “ENJOY YOUR LIFE.” This is not an invitation to self-centered indulgence, but a broader and more compassionate belief: true and sustainable enjoyment can only exist when it is built on respect for people, communities, and the planet.rn
