But the official new 7 wonders of world were decided by more than 100 million votes casted to represent the global heritage throughout the history. This global contest was organized by the New 7 wonders foundation the brain child of Swiss filmmakers and museum curator Be
ard Weber in order to protect humankind’s heritage across the globe. After the online poll was conducted the new 7 wonders were announced on 7th July 2007 in Lisbon, Portugal.
