High Blood pressure is one of the most common ailments which have affected more than 50% of people of this generation. To define it in simple words, blood pressure is the extent to which the flowing blood pressurizes the walls of the arteries as it runs in the blood circulation system of the body. In the Unites States, a reportedly 56,561 people died due to high blood pressure and hypertension in the year 2006. Also, 75 million people in US were found to have high blood pressure and all of these are in the age group of 20 and above. This brings up a ratio of one in three people in United States having hypertension. It was also found that only 75% of them were aware of it. With the advancement of medications in this field, there are many high blood pressure remedies available. However, many natural remedies are also available that prove to be safer and equally effective as a High Blood Pressure Remedy. There are many holistic treatments that use medical herbs to treat Hypertension and they have been proved to be effective in decreasing the blood pressure as effectively as the use of conventional medications. Some of the natural High Blood Pressure remedies include the consumption of Garlic which is found to be an effective blood pressure remedy in cases of mild hypertension. Herbs such as Hawthorn are also used in High blood pressure treatment. Hawthorn has been tested and found to effectively reduce blood pressure without causing any side effects or medical interactions with other drugs. Fish oil and Folic acid are also considered to be effective High Blood Pressure remedies since they have the ability to lower increased homocysteine levels in the body. Prescription remedies are to be considered only under the prescription of your doctor, but there are other precautions that can be taken up by you in your everyday life to decrease the blood pressure. Simple things like having an active lifestyle and decreasing the use of tobacco, sodium and potassium can help decrease blood pressure in the body to a large extent. Alcohol consumption and cigarettes are main causes of increase in blood pressure. Proper remedies need to be taken when High blood pressure is noted, since any negligence on your part can lead to damage to the internal organs and even lead to heart attacks. It is highly recommended to use the medication prescribed or recommended by your doctor untill blood pressure is under control.
