The weather here is finally breaking, which means increased opportunities to observe and partake in the great outdoors. The budding trees, the growing green grass, the light breeze, bird songs, sound of lawn mowers, and people walking and jogging about are all clear signs of spring. It truly is a wonderful time of year when the temperature is perfect and the spirit of rejuvenation is in the air. Each rejuvenating exercise or experience ripples out as positive effects to Mother Earth as well as all of its inhabitants - creatures, plants, rocks, etc. This buzz of activity provides a direct line to centering ourselves. While we may find other activities or places to go during the colder months, nothing quite matches up to the spring days that jump start us back onto, or bring enthusiasm to, an already good, healthy routine. At this time of year, we may feel inclined to renew our healthy lifestyle ideals and goals or add to them. We find greater joy in accomplishing tasks outdoors, and find pleasure in simply sitting and enjoying the scenery, scents, and outside activity. Along with the external renewal that is blooming all around us, we may feel inspired to renew some internal goals as well. The warm sunny weather has a way of inspiring us to open up our hearts and minds a bit more. In doing so, not only do we allow more light to touch our hearts, but we also enable more light to shine out to others as well. Perhaps we renew time with friends and neighbors who we typically didn't see in the winter; or perhaps we renew our relationship with the earth by planting a garden or refreshing our landscapes with new plants and mulch. Whatever we choose, we are aware on many levels of the renewed spirit the spring season - and all that comes with it - provides us. As the spring season continues to flourish, our renewal aspects become a part of us, as we climb closer and closer to our goals, or revel in the every day renewal aspects. rnWishing you much joy and light heartedness during this time of renewal.
