Repetition; the regular occurrence of a “healthy” habit is the key to your success. That’s what we are searching for in all the beneficial lifestyle adjustments that we strive toward. Doing something over and over again will create a habit and we have our cards on the table to collect all the fantastic habits we can during our time together.

Exercise is an imperative habit that must be involved in your life on a regular, almost day-to-day basis. I have never come across one Lovely Lady who has been an exception to this custom. The bottom line remains as it has for decades; not only do you need to choose healthy foods in controlled portions, but you must also include exercise to make things happen. Exercise does such wonderful things for your mind, body and soul, but somehow seems to be one of the first things to cut from your daily schedule when time is in a pinch. Let’s take a look at some of the most fantastic things that exercise can do for you.

  • Burns fat and calories and helps to control your appetite.
  • Strengthens your heart and lowers the risk of heart disease (#1 killer of women).
  • Helps you to feel energetic and happy.
  • Builds self esteem and confidence.
  • Builds stamina and endurance.
  • Motivates you to stay on a healthy lifestyle track and assists in creating great habits.
  • Increases potential weight loss and provides alone time.
  • Promotes a brighter mind-set and emotional stability.

For some Lovely Ladies this is an easy part of living a healthy, well-balanced life and for others it is the beginning of the road to physical activity in our lives. All it takes is the commitment and dedication to follow through. It doesn’t matter what you do; you just need to move. Young or old it’s the same philosophy. Dr. Len Kravitz, a fantastic top researcher in the field of women’s health and fitness, suggests that to reap the benefits of exercise we should be aiming for right around 280 minutes of exercise/week. That equates to 5 days/wk=55 minutes or 6 days/wk=45 minutes.
