It's a hard thing to observe in a person: the loss of hope when her doctor has informed her she has an "incurable" disease; yet on a surprisingly regular basis I see someone who has cured the incurable, who has held fast to hope in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.nnPerhaps it's because I have experienced the wretched feeling of having my doctor shake his head as he told me "there's no hope" that I can relate to the hopeless. "It will only go downhill from here," I was informed. In that instant, time stood still. It felt as though my heart was trying to escape my body but became stuck in my throat. I felt like I wanted to run as far and as fast away from the body that had let me down. All this had happened by the time I was 19, bedridden, and overwhelmed with severe weakness that had resulted from medical injury.nnIt is when someone seems as though all hope is gone that I think I become the best version of myself. I feel compelled to share aspects of my story, motivated to inspire, and eager to share some of the hope that kept me going through the worst days of my life. It thrills me to tell him about the "incurable" about miracles I have personally witnessed. It enthralls me to tell her about the exciting research I have read about Nature's expression of its infinite healing power through foods, herbs, and other natural remedies. I thrive on countering the arguments of naysayers that say "there is no evidence" to support the healing ability of a humble plant, supplement, food, or therapy. nnYou see, for years I spent every waking hour tirelessly researching the healing power of Nature in a desperate attempt to keep my hope alive. And, after reading thousands of well-constructed, scientific studies about the marvelous acupoints that actually balance hormones, or the enzymes that eat the membranes of cancer cells, or the homeopathics that alleviate pain better than drugs, I know beyond a shadow of doubt that the naysayers simply haven't done their homework. nnMiracles abound in Nature. The human body is one of the most elegant of all miracles. Yet, we rarely give much thought to our miraculous bodies until something goes wrong with them. Your body is one of the most extraordinary creations on the planet. From the time you were born your body held about 10,000 TRILLION cells. That's a mind-boggling number that most of us can barely fathom. Each blood cell is so small that scientists estimate it would take about 64,000 to fill the head of a pin. At any given moment your body is organizing thousands of biochemical processes, coordinating intricate and powerful energies, battling viruses, healing wounds, and mending organs. And, all of this happens with barely a conscious thought from you. nnWhen people fall ill, they claim to need a miracle. Typically they wait for someone else to take charge of their body and dispense a miracle drug, treatment, or surgery. But in Chinese Medicine they say, "You ARE a miracle!" Recognize the miracle that you are. Then treat yourself to the foods, emotions, and thoughts that best support your healing and spiritual consciousness as you reclaim hope...and healing.nnMichelle Schoffro Cook, DNM, DAc, CNC is a best-selling and six-time book author, whose works include: The Life Force Diet, The Ultimate pH Solution, The 4-Week Ultimate Body Detox Plan, The Brain Wash, and Healing Injuries the Natural Way. An application in Miracles (ACIM) is a unique spiritual text that has inspired countless people worldwide. First published in the 1970s, it was written by Doctor. Despite its Christian terminology, the course is non-denominational, offering universal spiritual principles that go beyond any particular faith. At its core, ACIM teaches that love is the only reality and that the world we pe

Origins Little is known of the early years of Sai Baba of Shirdi. Even his name is unknown as Sai Baba is not an appellation in the usual sense. Sai is a term of Persian origin, usually attributed to Muslim ascetics, meaning holy one or saint. Baba, on the other hand, is a Hindi term attributed to respected seniors and holy men, and literally means "father". So the etymology of Sai Baba means "holy father", "saintly father". To the question, "Baba, who are you? From where did
