I personally like making a list of all the actual jobs I am focused on applying for. So I recommend making a list of jobs. Once you have a list of jobs, list all of the responsibilities needed for each job. This will help build out your foundation for your resume as well as your cover letter. By following these steps you will have a targed, personalized resume aimed at the job you are applying for. When it comes to terminology, try to make your resume an easy read. Most employers take 30 seconds or less to decide if they want to read over your entire resume. Employers will just skim over your material and make a decision, so make your resume an easy read. Another idea to to write a few resume samples before forming the final draft. At the same time you want to use keywords that the industry is using. An easy way to find out industry keywords is to just look at the roles and responsibilities from the job description section of a job post.
