For years companies working with equipment and tools, antiques or other valuable assets, had to face the problem of loosing or misplacing objects. That is why the scientists found the best solution for equipment tracking problems. RFID equipment tracking is being used for over a decade because of its ability to track moving objects. RFID or radio frequency identification is a small electronic device that transmits data using radio waves. The system provides a unique identifier for the equipment or tool and that makes tracking possible at any time.

RFID equipment tracking increases efficiency on the work field

RFID equipment tracking, the technology of the future once, is now an integrated part of daily business operations. Construction companies, fire stations, hospitals, museums are using RFID tracking equipment to locate their tools, vehicles, valuable artifacts, expensive lab equipment or even patients from senior care facilities. Silent Partner Technology (SPT) is one of the companies that design RFID equipment tracking software. Due to SPT RFID equipment tracking, the valuable assets within a company are monitored since the day they’ve been placed into service, through their entire usage duration.

As an example, one of SPT’s clients – a Testing Facility – had problems in locating very expensive lab equipment. The scientists and engineers within the corporation were taking equipment from a central depository, but they were not taking it back after use. That is why projects were delayed, the need for more equipment appeared and man hours were used to track and locate missing equipment.

RFID asset tracking - active and passive solutions

After asking the right questions and knowing the facts, SPT decided to come with two solutions for this client’s problems. They needed a RFID asset tracking solution that would not interfere with their ongoing internal engineering and testing. And they also needed solutions for tracking mission critical assets and for non-mission critical assets. SPT have provided a long range active solution and a short range passive solution.

The RFID asset tracking tag used for the Testing Facility’s mission-critical assets has a read range of 1,700 feet in open space and it has minimal impact on their infrastructure requirements. The technology used is 915Mhz and it doesn’t interfere with any “Wi-Fi” network. Because of the RFID asset tracking solution provided by SPT, this client can take a “real-time inventory” of their assets at any time with just a push of a button.

For non-mission critical assets, SPT came with a short range passive solution which is less expensive and has a tag read range from 8 to 30-35 feet. To make the client’s mission easier than that, SPT also provided Portals. That makes it easier because, when a cart filled with equipment passes through, the RFID asset tracking system would read all the tags and update system with the last location of all assets in the cart.

RFID tracking system – a successful implementation

Since RFID asset tracking system was delivered to the Testing Facility, there was no time wasted trying to locate misplaced equipment. The projects are starting faster now and the organization knows at any moment where the assets are, items history, who used it. Today the client’s job has been dramatically improved and now the organization is able to provide the best service to complete their humanitarian mission. Thanks to SPT and RFID equipment tracking, another successful idea became reality and an example for other organizations in need.

The Quiet Engine Behind Every Connection Most people think of telecom services as towers, signals, and mobile data moving invisibly through the air. Yet behind every call that connects and every message that reaches its destination, there is another system quietly working in the background. That system is the call center. While customers often interact with telecom companies only when something goes wrong, these centers operate constantly, guiding problems toward solutions an

Introduction The solar industry once believed that collecting as many leads as possible was the fastest path to growth. Marketing teams focused on filling databases with names, phone numbers, and email addresses. At first, the numbers looked promising. Dashboards showed rising interest and more inquiries than ever before. Yet behind the scenes, many companies began to notice a quiet problem. Revenue growth did not match the flood of leads. Sales teams felt overwhelmed, conver
