Indians living in the Amazon has been using rosewood for centuries. The French call the "bois de rose" and found it helps relieve stress, sexual problems, and respiratory problems. There is no written record but the Brazilians say that combines rosewood oil with other oils and the use of the mixture of various diseases of the skin, and the same oil used to treat impotence. World demand for oil rosewood not really kick in until 1900, but Brazilian rosewood and rosewood tree oil have been a big part of their rich culture for decades. Abuses of rosewood forests have been at the forefront in the last twenty years.

This essential oil has some components of interest powerful chemicals, found in a variety of essential oils to treat a variety of physical and mental ailments. Myrcene, limonene, linalool, cineole and the 1.8-in rosewood oil are the most common chemicals found in other evergreen species.

Camphene, geraniol, Neral, geranial, a-pinene, benzaldehyde, and terpineol, in Brazil rosewood trees are also found in other species. Benzaldehyde not always found in evergreen trees, but is found in almonds, apples, apricots, cherries and almonds. It is the compound that gives the essence of a faint scent of almonds.

The oil is extracted from wood chips from the trees by steam distillation. The therapeutic properties of oil is tonic, antiseptic, stimulant and anti-bacteria. This means that small cuts, insect bites and wounds may heal faster when the essential oil of rosewood is applied to the area. When the oil is used in aromatherapy, depression, sadness and disappointment seem to lift and lower.

Rosewood oil interacts with various hormones and acts as a stimulant internal systems working properly, which means indigestion, and bile acid accumulation, and poor circulation issues fade as chemicals in the oil rejuvenates cells damaged tissues. In vapor therapy, rosewood oil helps to relieve coughs, headaches, nausea, and stress and infections. When adding oil of rosewood with floral oils for skin creams, wrinkles begin to fade and the skin has a healthy glow after a few treatments.

One of the most important uses of rosewood oil is a tonic for the treatment of stress. Reduced level of anxiety, confusion clear, strengthening the focus and balances mood changes PMS. Stress-related allergies diminish and in some cases, disappear completely when the oil is used in aromatherapy products.

Rosewood oil blends well with bergamot, orange, neroli, rose, grapefruit, lime, lemon, jasmine and lavender oil, and it is found in lotions, tonics, and creams designed to treat skin cell degeneration and as muscle and joint pain.

The rest of the world use to wonder why the Brazilians had smooth skin, the provisions easy, and a carefree lifestyle. The answer is obvious now. There is water, is the oil of rosewood ... maybe.
