Rukan Al-Yamani (The Corner of Holy Kaaba)

Certainly, the Holy Kaaba is the holiest place for the Muslims of all over the world. In fact, there are four corners of the Holy Kaaba and each of them has great significance. These blessed corners are Rukan Al-Aswad, Rukan Al-Iraqi, Rukan Al-Shami, and Rukan Al-Yamani. The corner of the Holy Kaaba which direction is towards Yemen is called the Rukan Al-Yamani. Actually, Rukan Al-Yamani is located on the opposite side of Hajar Aswad which direction is towards Yemen. Because this corner is still standing on the foundation which had been constructed by the Prophet Ibrahim (AS). However, we should not think that only Yemen pilgrims can touch but all the Muslims who come through self-base, Hajj and Umrah Package, Tour Guide, Travel Agent in the UK or any other source apparently can touch or kiss it. Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) reported that the Prophet (ï·º) made ‘Istilaam’ of it. Istilaam actually refers to the touching of the corner whether performed by hand or by kissing. Since the Prophet ï·º touched the Rukan Yamani so that practice has become the Sunnah. However, it is not mandatory to touch it because of the huge crowd. Whenever, Prophet Muhammad ï·º passed between Rukan Al-Yamani and Hajar Al-Aswad while making Tawaf around the Kaaba, so He ï·º recited the following Dua “O Rabb, grant us (all that which is) good in this world, (all that which is) good in the Aakhirah and save us from the punishment of the fire (of Jahannam).” [Surah Baqarah, verse 201] An exotic material such as special concrete, molten metal, and stainless steel nails have been used to prevent the lower portion of Rukan Al-Yamani from decaying. This process is repeated to maintain the actual position of Rukan Al-Yamani. This particular side of Holy Kaaba miraculously has been tangible from its starting point as several times there have been tried to hide it, but they could not meet to success. However, it is commonly noticed that pilgrims who are very conscious to get the huge reward start kissing Rukan Al-Yamani a lot and do not leave the place. So, people who go for Hajj performing through cheapest hajj packages 2020 should avoid showing such act, otherwise, massive kissing to Rukan Al-Yamani might be considered Shirk. And being a Muslim it is our strong belief that shirk is not tolerable. Because Allah (SWT) says that all kinds of sins can be pardoned but shirk cannot be pardoned. As its association is with Almighty-Allah, so there is nothing which has the right to be the Lord as that is unable to create even little insect.
