Rupinder Singh Khurana: An Achiever who started from the Scratch

Rupinder Singh Khurana, a 38 year old mechanical engineer from Amritsar has done well in his life. Be it the professional or the family life, being able to fulfill his duties is something that makes him feel satisfied. Rupinder Singh Khurana was born in a Punjabi family. His father as well as his mother were teachers and used to teach in a local government school. During his childhood, the financial condition of his home was not that good and the whole family had to live in a small rented house. His family consists of his parents, two elder sisters, himself and a younger brother. Despite facing a financial crunch, Rupinder Singh Khurana parents didn’t let it affect the education of their children. His parents made sure that their children get the best education. Both her sisters did well in their studies and went on to become teachers like their parents. While one of them is settled in Delhi and teaches in a reputed school, the other one is married to a businessman in Nagpur. After completing his school, Rupinder Singh Khurana got admission in a good college and pursued Mechanical engineering for 4 years. His first job was in a small company and the pay was low. But he knew he needed to gain experience in the industry before he moves to a bigger role. He had seen that there was a lot of things to learn in that job and that’s the reason he stayed in that company for 2 years. After gaining a two year experience he started to apply in different companies. He got an interview call in one of the biggest companies in the industry. His knowledge, experience and the things that he had learnt in his previous job helped him clear the interview. In the new company he not only got a bigger role but also a fatter package. He went on to work with this company for 7 years. Meanwhile, in the age of 28, he got married to a girl chosen by his parents. It was during this period that he bought his first car. He fathered two kids, a girl and a boy. He joined the present company that he is working in 7 years ago when he offered a bigger pay check. The job sometimes requires him to travel to different cities in India which he doesn’t mind. Happy with his career growth, he is hoping to move to the managerial level in his company.
