The impending arrival of a baby in your life involves preparations for the comfort of your baby. Buying the appropriate nursery furniture should therefore be at the top of your priority list. It will be one of the most important and happy moments of your life when your baby enters your home for the first time.

However, in your frenzy to get the most attractive parts of your baby's nursery furniture you should not overlook the aspect of safety which should be your primary concern. It is, therefore, important to browse different websites of baby furniture manufacturers or suppliers. Select the furniture so as to complement the other furniture in your home, be appealing and yet be secure for the baby.

Safety Aspects

You can find different types and styles of nursery furniture such as Cosatto, Tutti Bambini, Aspace Baby, Lollipop Lane, Izziwotnot, and Moses basket and Cribs. You can choose the type that appeals to you and will match with the surroundings but you should consider the following safety aspects for your baby.

1)Paint On The Furniture: Your first conce
should be to check the paint on the furniture and make sure that you do not buy anything painted with toxic paint. Babies have a natural tendency to try and chew furniture and any toxic paint on the furniture can prove to be hazardous.
2)Bumps: Babies are also prone to moving around a lot in their crib and in doing so they might bump into its sides. Since the sides are generally made of sturdy material, your baby could get hurt. Ensure that the sides of the crib you choose have suitable bumpers made of cushion to protect your baby.
3)Dust: Check that the nursery furniture does not have any areas where dust, mold or mildew could settle. This can happen if the furniture and cushions are stored in dusty warehouses for a long time. Babies might not be able to bear these impurities which can cause respiratory and other problems.
4)Bed Sheets: Choose a crib that does not have bed sheets and instead has tight-fitting covers for the mattresses. It is likely that your baby could get suffocated in the loose bed sheets. You should also avoid pillows as they can also be dangerous for the baby.
5)Proper Guards On The Sides: A baby can easily slip out of the crib and get hurt if the bars on the sides are not strong enough. They should also have a suitable height to prevent your baby from getting a foothold to climb over them and fall down. The spacing of the bars should be such that the baby's head does not get stuck in between.
6)Stability: Check the stability of items such as bassinets since they can overtu
easily. Moreover, a bassinet should be replaced with a well-protected crib as soon as the baby starts moving around.

Style and décor are very important for decorating your home but when it comes to choosing nursery furniture for your baby, safety should be your prime concern.
